Blogger Forum, is a site used mainly by Blogspot users. Since Google provides no support, frustrated users have been flocking to Bloggerforum for advice and technical help for the longest time.
But now apparently even the people at blogger-forum have had it with blogspot. They have now endorsed Wordpress as their platform of choice.
I can't tell you how frustrated I was with my blogspot account prior to switching to Wordpress.
That could be a milestone for wordpress, albeit a small one. A great deal of bloggers I know have switched to wordpress over the last year or two. All plugins related to blogging seem to be made for wordpress now. It seems a trend that soon wordpress could be the kleenex/xerox/ipod name in blogging.
I am one of the bloggers who jumped ship to Wordpress. You can't tell me that Blogspot can't add a simple thing like "Categories."

@Patrick Yan:
No, you should have written "SYMPHONYFOR$49"
I've been contemplating a switch to Wordpress from Movabletype for awhile now. I know MT too well to leave - but WP just seems so much nicer to work with.
Actually that site is using XOOPS with the XPress module (which integrates WordPress into XOOPS).
I stopped using BlogSpot long ago, and switched to XOOPS. And now with the XPress module, I was able to quickly import all of my old blog entries from BlogSpot into my existing site.
I'm still happy with Movable Type though I've been keeping my eye on Wordpress. I know where I am with MT but changing to Wordpress would require me to go through the whole learning process again.
It does look like a good platform though.
I've come into the blogosphere pretty late and the first and only product that I have used is Wordpress and I feel no need to move to any other platform, its basic but functional and very effective. I'm a PHP developer and it's great to get something that you can tear into and modify to suit your own needs with almost no difficulty.
is very good as a blogging tool (or even a CMS system). Not as 'famous' as WordPress though...
I meant to say Textpattern but my link was deleted - Textpattern.com
I was also using google's bloggers.com and then I switch to reviewpublic.com that uses wordpress!
I'm an active member of bloggerforum.com and I'm also one of their users that have made the switch to Wordpress.

You're in Easy Mode. If you prefer, you can use XHTML Mode instead. |
